New Amex Offer For Hampton Inn & Hilton Garden Inn

New Amex Offer For Hampton Inn & Hilton Garden Inn

In the interest of full disclosure, One Mile At A Time earns a referral bonus for anyone that’s approved through some of the below links. These are the best publicly available offers that we have found for each card. Please check out our advertiser policy for further details about the partners we work with. Thanks for your support!

For those of you not familiar with Amex Offers, it’s a program available through most Amex cards, where different cards are eligible for different savings and bonus offers. In many cases the offers can be huge, and more than offset the annual fee on a card.

To view Amex Offers, go to the bottom of the account summary page of any American Express card, where you’ll see all the offers you’re eligible for. These offers come in different forms, including discounts and even in some cases bonus points.

Lately we’ve seen several good Amex Offers for hotel stays, including for stays at select Hilton brandsMarriottsRitz-Carltons, Crowne Plazas, and more.

Now there’s a new Amex Offer for even more Hilton brands.

With this new, targeted Amex Offer, you can earn $30 back or receive 3,000 bonus Membership Rewards points when you spend $175+ at Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn in the US by October 31, 2018.

Personally I value Membership Rewards points at 1.7 cents each, so the 3,000 bonus point offer is better than the $30 offer, since I value 3,000 points at $51.

All eligible room rates and room charges should qualify towards this offer, including taxes and other fees. It would appear as if you could use this even for a stay after the deadline, as long as your room is charged prior to the deadline (so if that’s the case you’d want to book a pre-paid rate — just make sure the hotel actually charges you at the time you book, because sometimes hotels don’t charge you right away for pre-paid rates). You don’t have to spend the entire $175 in one transaction, but rather multiple transactions should qualify.

This promotion is targeted, though it at least seems to be pretty widely targeted, with the exception of Starwood cards, which makes sense. But I see the offer on The Platinum Card® from American Express ($550 annual fee), The Business Platinum® Card from American Express OPEN ($450 annual fee), The Blue Business℠ Plus Credit Card from American Express (no annual fee), the Hilton Honors Ascend Card ($95 annual fee), and the Hilton Honors American Express Business Card ($95 annual fee).

The best part is that you can combine this with the other great promotions Hilton Honors is offering. For example, Hilton is offering a minimum of double points on all stays between September 10, 2018, and January 3, 2019, and they’re also offering 2,500 bonus Lufthansa miles per stay through October 31, 2018.

As much as I’m loyal to Hyatt and Starwood, I really feel like I need to make more Hilton stays, since they almost seem to pay you to stay with them given how many promotions they have…

Was your account targeted for this promotion, and will this cause you to stay at a Hampton Inn or Hilton Garden Inn?
