I recently took a trip to Calcutta, India with a good friend of mine, Bobby Hawk. Bobby pastors Epic Church, an awesome Church in Kansas City, Missouri. We met a few years ago and he came to India last year and again more recently.
I visit Calcutta regularly to connect to our give back partner, Calcutta Mercy. Every day Calcutta Mercy feeds, educates and medically assists the deserving in India. On our recent trip, Bobby brought with him two of his friends, Deter Brown a video animator who worked with Kung Fu Panda and Dr. Rob Carter, a vascular surgeon. We became good friends pretty quick as we visited the hospital, feeding programs and schools and hung out together in Calcutta.
We told lots of stories and that is when I learned the meaning of 'Cool story, Bro'. In case you, like me, are one of the few who have not heard the saying, it simply is a sarcastic way of saying 'who cares' or 'I'm not interested in what you are saying'. We had a lot of fun with that saying in the midst of our fun story telling. So, I couldn't help myself. I had to design a coffee mug in honor of our cool adventure.
This white ceramic mug is 15 ounces (bigger than most mugs) - it tells its own story and when you buy one you are helping to provide meals through your message. Thanks for reading this story and for being a part of the Rickshaw Journey.
And that, quite simply, is my 'Cool story, bro".
